NEWTON TOWNSHIP MINUTES  7-11-2018

Newton Township Trustees met in regular session on Wednesday, July 11^th, 2018.  Those in attendance were Ryan Packer with the Shelly Company; Larry Taylor, Road Maintenance Supervisor for the Township; James R. Smith and Robert Stephenson, Charles R. Elson, Township Trustees.

Meeting was called to order by Trustee Stephenson at 6:00pm.

Pledge to the flag was led by Robert J. Stephenson.

Agenda approved.

Minutes were approved as presented.

Public Participation:  None.

Fire Department Business: 

None.  Not in attendance.

Road Report – Larry Taylor

Working on Yost.

Zipping Mahon.

Approved work on Georgia Pines with Crawmer.

Paving bids.

Shelly Company - $193,501.55

7.1 miles of Chip Seal for $100,457.00

Old Business -     Did not approve bids for Fire Department Building.

New Business -   None

Trustees Reports:  Nothing more.

Fiscal Officer Information passed out

Payment registers, appropriations, fund status reports, grass roots clippings received.

All bills presented were deemed to be valid expenditures and were to be paid as presented.

Meeting adjourned at 8pm.
