NEWTON TOWNSHIP MINUTES 1-10-2018
Newton Township Trustees met in regular session on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018. Those in attendance were Larry Taylor, Road Maintenance Supervisor for the Township; Craig Knox Assistant Chief and EMS Coordinator; James R. Smith and Robert Stephenson, Charles R. Elson, Township Trustees and Derek Dozer, Fiscal Officer.
Meeting was called to order by Trustee Stephenson at 6:04pm.
Pledge to the flag was led by Robert J. Stephenson.
Agenda approved.
Minutes were approved as presented.
Public Participation: None.
Fire Department Business:
New Medic is in service.
Awarded grant from Aladin Shriners.
Awards dinner will be on January 20th at EagleSticks.
Road Report – Larry Taylor
Additional salt and cinders have been delivered.
Discussion on water truck.
Old Business - None.
New Business - None.
Trustees Reports:
Complaint on Workman Rd.
Fiscal Officer Reports
FO Dozer will attend the 2018 Township Winter Conference as previously approved.
Next regular meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 at 6:00pm at the Fire Department. Appropriations were explained and draft copies handed out for discussion and approved. Once they have been received/approved will need signed off on.
