NEWTON TOWNSHIP MINUTES 6-09-2015
Newton Township Trustees met in regular session on Tuesday, June 09, 2015. John Phillips, Township resident; Larry Taylor, Road Maintenance Supervisor. Larry Geiger, Craig Knox, and Allen Deaver of the Newton Fire Department. James R. Smith, Robert Stephenson, and Charles R. Elson, Township Trustees; Derek J. Dozer, Township Fiscal Officer.
Meeting was called to order by Trustee Stephenson at 6:00pm.
Pledge to the flag was led by Robert Stephenson.
Agenda approved.
Minutes were approved as presented.
Public Participation:
None.
Fire Department Business:
58 Runs (11 – Fire, 47 – EMS) in April. 81 Runs (11- Fire, 70- EMS) in May.
There was a County-wide meeting to discuss EMS and Mutual Aid Agreements, etc. Nothing settled at this time.
Road Report
Larry Taylor
- Ditching. Will be working with Springfield to ditch Shaw and Moxadarla, maybe Greenhouse if time.
- County may be helping with ditching as well.
- Discussion about chip seal.

Trustees Reports: – Nothing further
Fiscal Officer reports:
· Presented payment registers, fund status reports, bank reconciliation, grass roots clippings.
All bills presented were deemed to be valid expenditures and were to be paid as presented.
Next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 7th, 2015 at 6:00pm at the Fire Department.
